Rotor 3 and VBH: the Lucas sheet metal flanging machines

The Lucas catalogue includes two models of beading machines for sheet metal.   We are referring to the VBH model pipe flanging and punching machine and the Rotor 3 model pipe flanging and punching machine.  There are two sheet metal flanging machines with different characteristics, with the common feature of the high ease of use guaranteed, among other aspects, by the touch screen control panel that manages the work sequences.  What distinguishes the two solutions are the increased flexibility of the VBH (the ability to achieve rounded edges, bellmouth, flanging starting from a sheet metal ring, not only ferrules), the set-up time (reduced on VBH thanks to the use of servomotors) and the speed (higher on VBH). Both the VBH and Rotor 3 sheet metal flanging machines are equipped with smart auxiliary systems for alignment of the holes on the two sides of the workpiece and to facilitate unloading and tilting of the piece to create the other end.  
 

HOW THE VBH AND ROTOR 3 SHEET METAL FLANGING MACHINES WORK

The VBH sheet metal flanging machine performs roller flanging through a controlled four-axis unit: in a single clamping of the workpiece it also performs punching and stiffening forming on the straight or rounded flange. Instead the Rotor 3 performs the stages of flanging and forming by means of motorised rollers with hydrostatic system and proportional valve. Upon request it also performs punching and stiffening forming on the flange. Both the sheet metal flanging machines include safety systems designed for maximum reliability.
